RICH HOLDER - GRANDEUR HOME RENOVATION
When Hinged UK were asked to design and supply the kitchen for a luxury build based in Newquay, the company were flattered to have been given the opportunity to do so. Hinged UK Director, Dean Martin, took the reins of the project and used his wealth of knowledge and creative flair to guide this project forward towards successful completion.
The project began as a renovation with the goal of turning an already spectacular home into an absolute masterpiece. Dean and Hinged UK worked closely with the client throughout the renovation to ensure that they were provided with the contemporary look they were after, but with a refreshing twist.
Dean Martin was the primary designer for this kitchen.
The centrepiece of the kitchen features a luxurious, in-frame kitchen island that includes elegant Dovetail drawer boxes with inbuilt soft closing technology. To heighten the aesthetic and stature of the kitchen, the drawers have been engraved with the prestigious Hinged UK logo on this occasion.
The kitchen island includes numerous mirror plinths that have been separated with the addition of corner posts. Together these two elements work in synergy to cleverly create the illusion that the island stands upon multiple legs.
Dean’s signature style truly comes to life through the striking combination of in-frame and handleless doors featured here.
Worktop & Cabinetry
The kitchen worktop shows off an 80mm mitred Dekton worktop in the colour Aura, inspired by classic marble architecture. Dekton is a long-term product for those looking to turn their kitchen into a truly unique space and benefits from a completely uniform surface that seamlessly fits into the design with the kitchen. This not only strengthens the worktop but also avoids any disruption in the pattern.
The worktop for the bar was created by Andrew Nebbett Designs and is a truly bespoke piece that includes a 3-door unit with a copper top and bi-folding cupboard placed above it. Hinged UK had to make entirely bespoke cabinetry to fit underneath this worktop.
In terms of appliances, the specification could not have been higher. Dean selected Miele for the fridge freezer that included a ‘push to open’ design feature to complement the handleless style of the kitchen.
Housed within the kitchen island is a Liebherr Vinidor wine fridge, aptly living between bespoke colour matched end panels that pair with the kitchen island doors.
The pantry included in this kitchen design was a bespoke made Walnut pantry and featured LED lights and walnut drawers. This pantry shows off a ‘cold stone’ allowing storage of items such as butter and eggs without the need for refrigeration.
The Hinged UK team greatly exceeded the client’s expectations with this kitchen, and it is now likely to be one of the most looked at (and sought after!) kitchens in Newquay.
The client remains excited and delighted with the result and has since come forward to request a repeat of the same kitchen in their new house but on a much grander scale.
